Hey medical student! Fancy doing more than just studying? You can start working in general practice right now. Come work as a doctor's assistant at GP practices Stokkeland and Weve in the centre of Aalsmeer. This way, you will develop your skills, build your CV and be at the centre of the practice.
What to expect:
As a medical student, you gain practical experience working as a doctor's assistant. You are busy all day long: you take calls from patients and decide whether someone needs to come in or can move on with good advice (triage). You can apply your initial ideas about a possible diagnosis. Meanwhile, someone comes to the front desk for consultation. GP practices Weve and Stokkeland are located in the centre of Aalsmeer, in a health centre where all kinds of disciplines work together. Think pharmacy, physiotherapy and a lab, all under one roof. This makes the lines of communication short and allows you to optimise patient care.
The practices are not only about good care, but also about your development. You get the space to develop yourself further, follow your own interests and learn new things. Together, we look at what energises you and how we can make that flourish!
In the practices, you work with a committed and friendly team, consisting of five GPs, five practice support staff (somatic, mental health, youth and elderly care) and four assistants. Your colleagues are there for you and you can easily consult with them. Besides hard work, there is room for sociability and good coffee.
Working at Stokkeland and Weve GP practices means that, as a medical student, you don't just follow along, but actively participate in a practice where learning and working come together. You will develop your medical skills and have direct patient contact, in an environment that is open and supportive. That's why they offer you:
